Yann LeCun

Yann LeCun is one of the three founders of modern deep learning, alongside Geoffrey Hinton and Yoshua Bengio. He won the ACM Turing Award in 2018 for his work on convolutional neural networks, which became the foundation for modern computer vision, image recognition, and autonomous driving systems. As Chief AI Scientist at Meta, he leads the company's fundamental AI research including the open-source LLaMA model family. He's one of the most vocal and opinionated voices in AI, regularly challenging hype on X while pushing for open-source AI development.
