Sara Hooker

Sara Hooker leads Cohere For AI, a nonprofit ML research lab that runs one of the largest global communities of ML researchers. Her work focuses on making AI more efficient, interpretable, and accessible to researchers outside of big tech. She previously led research at Google Brain and is known for her scholarship connecting underrepresented researchers with the AI community. She runs large-scale open research programs and is one of the most respected voices on responsible AI development.
